Grade 1 Mathematics Objectives

1. Numbers and Number Sense

   • Count, read, and write numbers up to 100.
   • Count, read, and write numbers up to 100 #2

   • Compare and order numbers #2
   • Compare and order numbers #3
   • Understand the concept of place value (ones and tens)

2. Patterns and Algebra

   • Recognize and extend simple patterns using colors, shapes, and numbers. 
   • Identify relationships in patterns and sequences.  

3. Measurement

   • Measure and compare lengths using non-standard units (e.g., paper clips)
   • Understand concepts of time (hours and half-hours)

4. Geometry

   • Identify and describe common 2D shapes (circle, square, triangle) and 3D objects (sphere, cube)
   • Understand basic positional words (above, below, beside)

5. Data and Probability

   • Collect and organize data using simple tally charts.  
   • Interpret information from pictographs.  

Grade 2 Mathematics Objectives

1. Numbers and Number Sense

   • Add and subtract numbers up to 100 using various strategies.   
   • Understand place value to hundreds.  

2. Patterns and Algebra

   • Recognize, create, and extend patterns using different attributes.  
   • Identify simple relationships between numbers. 

3. Measurement

   • Measure length and weight using standard units (inches, pounds).    need review
   • Tell time to the nearest five minutes.   need review

4. Geometry

   • Classify 2D shapes based on properties (sides, angles).    need review

5. Data and Probability

Grade 3 Mathematics Objectives

   • Use variables to represent unknowns in simple equations.

3. Measurement

   • Measure length, weight, and volume using standard units (cm, kg, liters).
   • Calculate elapsed time.

4. Geometry

   • Understand the properties of shapes, including perimeter and area.
   • Identify and classify angles (acute, right, obtuse).

5. Data and Probability
