Data Analysis Quiz
Understanding Mean, Median, and Mode
In this lesson, we will learn how to analyze data sets and calculate the mean, median, and mode.
Mean
- The mean is the average of all the numbers in a data set.
- To calculate the mean, add all the numbers and divide by the total number of values.
Median
- The median is the middle value when the numbers are arranged in order.
- If there is an even number of values, the median is the average of the two middle numbers.
Mode
- The mode is the number that appears most frequently in a data set.
- A data set may have one mode, more than one mode, or no mode at all.
Now, let's practice calculating the mean, median, and mode of some data sets!
