Plural and Possessive Nouns Quiz
Plural and Possessive Nouns
Plural Nouns refer to more than one person, animal, thing, or place. Most plural nouns are formed by adding "-s" or "-es" to the singular form of the noun.
- Example: "cat" becomes "cats".
- Example: "box" becomes "boxes".
Possessive Nouns show ownership. We add an apostrophe (') and "s" to a singular noun or just an apostrophe to a plural noun that ends in "s".
- Example: "John's book" (John owns the book).
- Example: "the dogs' toys" (the toys belong to the dogs).
